Subject: RoHS and REACH Compliance
To Whom It May Concern:
In 2004, we changed all of our lead frames and die configuration to totally eliminate all potentially hazardous compounds in our production to meet the current and future RoHS and REACH standards. By making those changes we maintain our compliance with the rules and regulations specified in Directive 2011/65/EU and up to current and including REACH EC1907/2006.
RoHS
Based on information obtained from our component suppliers, this document
certifies that ALL MCD Electronics Incorporated products are “RoHS-5" compliant and do
not exceed the designated levels of Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Mercury, Polybrominated Biphenyls or Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers legislated under the provisions of the European Parliament and Council Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (2011/65/EU) and regulations promulgated thereunder, collectively, the “RoHS Regulations."
MCD Electronics Incorporated products do not contain Deca Brominated Diphenyl Ether (Deca BDE) legislated under the provisions of the European Commission Decision of 13 October 2005 (2005/717/EC),
do not contain as intentional additives Perfluoroocantylsulfonates (PFOS) legislated under the provisions of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2006/122/EC (30th amendment to EU Directive 76/769/EEC), and do not require any exemptions per “RoHS2" including exemption 7(c)-III (Lead in dielectric ceramic in capacitors for a rated voltage of less than 25V AC or 250V DC) and exemption 11(b) (Lead in other than C-press compliant pin connector systems).
REACH
Based on information obtained from our component suppliers, this document also certifies that NO MCD Electronics Incorporated products contain Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) as listed by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) under the provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of
the European Parliament and of the council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) per the ECHA 20/06/2013 and previous updates. We further certify that all of our products meet the current REACH.EC1907/2006 standards.
The provisions of this certificate supersede and replace the provisions of all other certificates previously delivered relating to compliance with the RoHS and REACH Regulations.
It further goes on to define the correct way to handle any waste or by product created in the production of said products.
